The Procedure​

During the procedure, Dr. Briley will make incisions, often around the areola and vertically down to the breast crease, to remove excess breast tissue, fat, and skin. The remaining breast tissue is reshaped and lifted to create a more youthful, proportional contour. The areola may also be resized and repositioned to suit the new breast shape. Afterward, the incisions are closed, and bandages are applied to support healing.

 

Recovery and Aftercare

Following your breast reduction surgery, you can expect some swelling, bruising, and soreness, which can be managed with prescribed pain medication. Most patients are able to return to work and light activities within 1-2 weeks, though heavy lifting and strenuous activities should be avoided for 4-6 weeks. Dr. Briley will provide comprehensive aftercare instructions and will follow up with you to monitor your healing process.
